WWL-TV Channel 4 New Orleans - Studio Building
Rampart Street
The WWL-TV offices and studios are housed in a remodeled
building which once was the home of the Zetz 7-UP bottling plant. Many
of the city's youngsters, as well as many adults, spent hours watching
the parade of 7-UP bottles, as they moved along the conveyor tracks,
through the large plate glass windows of the plant. WWL radio once used
the Zetz 7-UP building auditorium as a studio for public participation
radio game shows. The Zetz 7-UP glass windows are gone now, but a new,
larger, electronic window on thw world now occupies the building and, as
before, many of the city's children, as well as many of the adults, now
watch that window.
